Frequently asked questions

How long does a RAK19003 + RAK4631 last on battery?

At about 12 mA average draw, a RAK19003 + RAK4631 runs roughly 10.4 days on a 3000 mAh 18650 cell and 34.7 days on a 10000 mAh pack. Real-world life depends on transmit duty cycle, screen and Bluetooth use.

What is the range of a RAK19003 + RAK4631?

With the stock 2.15 dBi antenna at 5 m, the theoretical line-of-sight range is about 14.3 km. In practice terrain and obstacles reduce it; raising the antenna is the single most effective improvement.

Is the RAK19003 + RAK4631 good for a solar node?

Yes. Its low average draw (12 mA) makes it well suited to always-on, solar-powered relay nodes.
